How to Replace Lawnmower Blades
After using the lawnmower for a certain amount of the time, the blades eventually get dull and chipped from hitting stones and other debris. That's when they start chewing your lawn instead of cutting it. It's not good for the grass and for the aesthetics of the lawn. Changing the blades on the mower is a must to keep your yard number one in the neighborhood, and it's not a hard project. It should take about 30 minutes and anyone can do it.
Turn your mower upside down to access the blades. Place a block of wood between the housing and blades to keep the blades from turning while you're trying to get them out.
Using a wrench, unscrew the bolt that holds the blade on and take the blade off. Repeat if there are more blades. If you don't have a serial number or know the type replacement blades you need, bring your blade to Bomber to get the correct blades.
Attach the new blade(s) with the same bolts and wrench. Make sure you tighten them well or the vibration of the lawnmower will loosen them.
